A native of Williamsburg, VA, Meredith has always had a passion for playing the piano, traveling and helping people through community service.
Meredith is a graduate of Duke University where she completed a double-major in Spanish Literature and German Language in only three years. Her studies while at Duke included a semester abroad in Berlin, Germany and a summer in Valencia, Spain. Upon graduating, she was recognized by the Phi Beta Kappa Society as well as Magna Cum Laude.
After graduating, Meredith moved to Upstate New York where she worked for a small publishing company and helped in bringing a children’s dictionary and thesaurus to print for the McGraw Hill Companies. She then moved to Berkeley, California where she worked as an assistant manager of sales and marketing campaigns for companies including AT&T and UPS. Meredith joined AXA Advisors in 2005 after returning to Virginia and has already been recognized as both “District Leaders’ Corp” and “A Class Associate of the Year” in 2006 and “National Leaders’ Conference” for 2007.
In order to stay current in her field and enhance her professional skills, Meredith regularly attends industry training and certification programs. Meredith has completed the curriculum and passed the rigorous exams for the Series 7, Series 66, and Life and Health Insurance licenses. Meredith is currently enrolled in courses in preparation for the CFP (Certified Financial Planner) exam through the College for Financial Planning.
Meredith’s true passion is financial education. She helps to organize monthly workshops, “Financial Fitness for Women” and has been invited as a guest speaker for many local organizations including AARP, Capital One, The Easter Seals of Virginia, The Virginia Society of CPAs, and The Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (Hispanic Women in Business).
Meredith lives in Richmond with her husband, Matt. Matt is working in his “dream job” as the Cellar Master for Starr Hill Brewing Company in Charlottesville, VA.
Meredith is active in the Tuckahoe Jaycees, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Network of Enterprising Women and the Rotary Club of James River. She sits on the Membership Committee for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the planning committee for Hispanic Women in Business and the Charitable Contributions Committee for the Network of Enterprising Women. She speaks fluent Spanish and German and her goal is to help people make sound financial decisions when it comes to saving and investing their money.
